Description Through an interview with a clinical social worker, it was identified that social anxiety is one of the most prevalent mental health issues among younger generations in a post-pandemic society. To address this, research was conducted on the four types of anxiety—social, appearance, character, and skill-driven. In collaboration with a client, a deck of cards was developed to resonate with young people facing these challenges while integrating Christian values. Each category of social anxiety was represented by a distinct suit and color, creating a visually engaging and meaningful connection.ResearchI first had to learn about what social anxiety is and the different manifestations of it.Card Designs Adding a character allowed the deck to have a more approachable personality. The content of the cards changed based on its value. Aces showcased a Bible verse; numbers, an affirmation; faces, action steps to overcome certain thought patterns.
The back of the card symbolizes a heart and mind connection. Process
