Description In an interview with a clinical social worker, I learned that social anxiety is one of the most prevalent mental health issues among younger generations living in a post-pandemic society. Motivated by my passion for helping people, I researched the four types of anxiety—social, appearance, character, and skill-driven. Collaborating closely with my client, we developed a deck of cards designed to resonate with young people facing these challenges while incorporating Christian values. Each category of social anxiety is represented by a distinct suit and color, creating a visually engaging and meaningful connection.ResearchI first had to learn about what social anxiety is and the different manifestations of it.Card Designs Adding a character allowed the deck to have a more approachable personality. The content of the cards changed based on its value. Aces showcased a Bible verse; numbers, an affirmation; faces, action steps to overcome certain thought patterns.
The back of the card symbolizes a heart and mind connection. Process
